The theme is "Yes, you are a Salesperson!" and the goal is to teach food and beverage servers to appreciate their role in sales. The course covers:

  • Identifying opportunities to sell
  • Reading non-verbal clues
  • Anticipating needs
  • When to back off
  • Using sales words; creating a mental picture
  • Selling add-ons; upselling; how to make suggestions and recommendations without feeling pushy
  • Increasing the size of the average cheque

Participants gain greater confidence in making sales suggestions, and learn questions that help determine customer needs.
